In contrast to a shared website hosting account where the information is backed up by the provider, if you use a virtual or a dedicated server you'll need to keep manual backups because this kind of a service isn't included by default. As excellent as a hosting server may be, there is always a chance that something may go wrong. For instance, you may delete some content by accident or a script-driven application could get damaged after an update. If you have a backup, you'll not have to concern yourself with this sort of issues as the content could be easily restored. Since it may not be quite practical to do this all of the time on your end, we supply an optional backup service for each of our server packages and we will store a copy of your content on an individual machine to make sure that it is unharmed no matter what. With the upgrade, you can work on your hosting server without worrying that you could lose any information due to any reason.

Weekly Backup in Dedicated Servers

If you get one of our dedicated servers and you determine that you would like a backup of your content, you'll be able to include this service with a few mouse clicks and our system shall start keeping copies on a weekly basis immediately. You can order the upgrade together with the server or at some point after using your billing Control Panel if you don't need backups from the very beginning. The service will grant you 50 gigabytes of disk space on a separate machine and this content may be restored on our end. Even though we test out the equipment and the software before we hand over any new dedicated web server, you can never know if some update won't crash, so in the event you have crucial data on the hosting server, you will be better off with this upgrade. Backups are also available with the Managed Services upgrade, which features lots of other useful administration tasks we offer to our customers.
